The graphic Princesses of Prada, strange, mysterious creatures with two-tone hair pose in a ultramodern space where geometrical shapes dominate and distinct colors rule. In his last work for the Dior fashion House Bill Gaytten presented a compelling fashion eyewear line for Resort 2013 next summer where he offered awesome variations of unique details.
Gaytten was selected as the Creative Director at the ‘absence’ of the well-known John Galliano. Well, someone could truly sais that he doesn’t like Gayttens design at all –“dull, boring, simple” etc. Someone would discuss about the difference between talented tailor and talented designer…
But!!! We believe, Bill Gaytten’s last collection Resort 2013 for Dior is gorgeous!!! He has certainly left a strong final impression before Raf Simons, a new creative director of the Dior House. As expected from the French fashion brand, eyewear frames are emphasized back to Dior’s ‘New Look’ of the 50’s. Stunning chic looks, perfect for the modern woman.
We wish Gaytten best of luck. It’s sad to see an exit of capable designer, but we should still wait for many more great fashion trends and eyewear collections to come for the Dior brand.
