Vintage Frames Company has just released a limited edition set of shades called the Cazal 951 Mod Col 330. The red-framed sunglasses are the result of a collaboration with Cazal Eyewear and we’re loving the outcome. The original shades were made famous in the ‘80s and even featured in songs like Jazzy Jeff’s Snatchin’ Cazals. Though you’ll need to hurry if you want a pair.

Cazal is one of the most sought after brands in eyewear. Overwhelmingly original it became a favoured hip hop brand in the 1980s and its German designer Cari Zalloni and his team continue to create “maximalist” designs, which pay little attention, if any, to dominant trends.

Cazal has introduced their Pure Maximalism campaign for 20011. Swedish artist Stina Persson created watercolor images, each of which conveys the feeling of being swept away by beauty, for the campaign. Cazal had a rather huge variety of frames. Some of the most collected as a series is by far the Vintage Cazal Deluxe Series. This particular run was only made for the USA. It featured many skins, stones, and leathers. Each frame was unique and produced in very limited quantity. This is a very rare Vintage Cazal 633 Deluxe Frame with stones and studs. I have never seen any like it.
