Gucci Goes Green with Sustainable Eyewear
Italian luxury brand Gucci released eyewear made from eco-friendly materials. Set to launch this August, the range will embrace four styles made with “an innovative acetate which, compared to traditional acetate used for optical frames, contains a much higher percentage of material from natural origins,” says the press release. The packaging and catalogs for the line will also be environmentally-sound.

In May 17, 2011 Prada made the launch of this new creative project related to their collection of sunglasses to debut two new glasses from his line Minimal Baroque, in conjunction with the release of eight photographs.
These versions of the collection of Baroque-Minimal sunglasses, featured on a new palette of colors, shapes and transparencies. Prada was curious as to how to develop a new approach to his glasses, which led to a project DRAWING PICTURES. The idea of having played in all aspects of the Minimal-Baroque collection is in its first phase, three illustrators were invited to interpret the limited edition deluxe version of the glasses. The hand-drawn images of the first phase emphasized the uniqueness of the pieces.
